From strain to strength through grounded work.
Counseling for adults and couples. Coaching for professionals nationwide
Some people arrive because their personal life feels strained. Others because work or family responsibilities are asking more than they should. Most arrive when those pressures are no longer separate.
At Jo Leda Martin Counseling, I provide counseling for adults and couples in Colorado, online therapy in Idaho and Florida, and leadership coaching nationwide. My work centers on real-life pressure — the kind that builds slowly over time — across relationships, responsibility, identity, and faith.
This is steady, grounded work.
When carrying it all stops working
Life has a way of applying pressure from multiple directions at once. For some, that pressure shows up as anxiety, burnout, or strain at home. For others, it shows up in leadership, responsibility, or the weight of being the steady one in every room. Often, it’s both.
What looks solid on the outside can still feel heavy on the inside. Not because something is wrong — but because carrying everything without support eventually takes a toll.
This is where the work begins.
Leadership has a way of touching everything
Some people I work with lead companies or teams. Others are carrying responsibility in quieter but equally demanding ways. They’re steady in meetings, dependable at home, and used to being the one who holds things together. Over time, that pressure adds up. Life starts to feel tighter, louder, or heavier, not because something is wrong, but because no one can carry this much indefinitely.
Some feel bored, burned out, or oddly flat. Some are stepping into more responsibility. Some are preparing to transition or let go of a role that once fit. What they share is a desire for support that’s honest and capable, not therapy-speak or posturing. Support that understands how leadership, family, identity, faith, and real life actually intersect.
I work from family room to boardroom because stress doesn’t stay at work. Personal strain whether that involves relationships, spouses, family systems, or maybe adoption relationships, doesn’t disappear just because you’re competent.
You don’t need to be falling apart to be here. You just need to be ready to stop pretending this is fine.
Ways we can work together
I offer counseling for adults and couples, as well as leadership coaching. The structure
differs. The tone remains the same — grounded, direct, respectful, and steady.

Executive Coaching, Leadership, and Transitions (Nationwide)
Leadership coaching for the weight you carry
Leadership coaching supports individuals carrying significant professional responsibility who want to lead and transition well without sacrificing their health, relationships, or sense of self.

This work is non-clinical and focuses on leadership effectiveness, executive functioning, and sustainability.
Executive Coaching focuses on leadership effectiveness, executive functioning, and sustainable performance. It is not therapy and does not involve diagnosis or treatment.
The goal isn’t to strip away what made you successful. It’s to help you lead and transition well without losing your health, relationships, or sense of self.
Why this work feels different
I bring clinical depth, leadership experience, and a faith-grounded perspective to this work. You will be met with clarity, steadiness, and respect for the full context of your life.
I understand power, pressure, ambition, family systems, faith, and what it costs to be the steady one in every room. Regardless of title or responsibility, I recognize the individual underneath the role.
I’ll listen carefully. I’ll tell the truth. I’ll challenge what needs challenging. And I’ll help you carry your life in a way that actually works. You’ll be met with clarity, respect, and understanding of the full context your’re carrying.
And yes, we’ll probably laugh. Sometimes because it’s absurd. Sometimes because humor is the only honest response.

Values and faith, handled with care
Faith is not a program or an add on, it is at the core of who I am. Some clients want faith fully integrated, some prefer not. Both will be honored and respected.
"I am extremely grateful that the Lord paired my husband and I with Jo. We have been navigating a difficult season on many levels and she has stuck with us and continues to help us through it all! We are so blessed to have Jo in our lives!"
"I was ready to find healing, but I knew that I didn’t have the tools to do it alone. Jo was an immediate safe and trusted space for me. She listened, asked me the tough questions, and encouraged me in healing and becoming who God called me to be."
"Jo Leda is a leader of uncommon wisdom and ability. She brings clarity to complex situations, speaks the truth with care, and does so in a way that is both deeply thoughtful and deeply human. She is someone whose counsel is sought not for easy answers, but for honest ones — grounded in discernment, integrity, and a genuine concern for the person in front of her."
