2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through this website, online contact forms, telehealth scheduling interactions, and related communications.
This policy does not govern clinical treatment records or protected health information (PHI) created in the course of treatment. Those records are governed by HIPAA and by separate informed consent and Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) documents provided to clients before treatment begins.

- treatment informed consent documents
Those documents are provided separately to clients during intake.
6. Use of TherapyNotes for Practice Management
We use TherapyNotes, a HIPAA-compliant electronic practice management system, for:
- scheduling
- documentation
- telehealth
- messaging
- billing (if applicable)
TherapyNotes acts as a Business Associate under HIPAA and is required to protect PHI. We maintain a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with TherapyNotes.
7. Telehealth Privacy
Telehealth sessions are provided to residents physically located in Colorado at the time of service. Telehealth communications are encrypted and conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms integrated through TherapyNotes.
Clients are responsible for securing their own environment during sessions to maintain privacy on their end.
8. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may share data with:
- service providers (e.g., hosting providers, HIPAA business associates)
- telehealth platforms
- lawful authorities when required
We may disclose information without consent when required by law, including but not limited to:
- risk of harm to self or others
- suspected abuse or neglect
- court orders or subpoenas
- other mandated reporting requirements
