Anxiety and Depression Support

Steady, practical support, and a gentle way back to feeling like yourself.

What is Anxiety and Depression Support?

Anxiety and low mood are the two things people most often reach out to us about. They’re also two of the most responsive things we work with, which is worth saying right at the start, because it so rarely feels that way from the inside.

They turn up looking like all sorts of things. A racing heart at four in the morning. A teenager who used to have weekend plans and somehow doesn’t anymore. A quiet flatness where things used to matter.

None of it means anything is wrong with you, or with your child. More often it means something has been carried for a while, and it’s ready to be set down with a bit of help.

In teens and young adults this can look like

  • Irritability showing up more often than sadness
  • Sleeping a great deal, or barely at all
  • Stepping back from the things they used to care about
  • Stomachaches and headaches with no medical cause
  • Finding it hard to get to school, which is nearly always anxiety rather than defiance
  • “I’m fine,” said in a tone that isn’t

In adults this can look like

  • Waking at four in the morning with the day already going wrong in your head
  • Managing everything and enjoying none of it
  • Short-tempered mostly at home, with the people who deserve it least
  • A shorter fuse and a smaller life
  • Functional and depleted at the same time

Our Approach to Anxiety and Depression Support

We begin by getting curious about what’s underneath it, because anxiety and low mood are usually the signal rather than the source. Sometimes it’s ADHD that nobody had spotted. Sometimes it’s a loss that never quite got named as one. Sometimes it’s simply a season that would wear anyone out.

From there it becomes practical, and rather hopeful. What’s happening in the body. What the thoughts are doing, and whether they’re being fair. What can gently change day to day, and what was never yours to carry in the first place.

We’ll also be careful not to make this bigger than it is. A good deal of what you’re feeling is a very reasonable response to real life, and hearing that said plainly is often a relief all on its own.

From there, our work may include:

*If you or someone you love is in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is there 24 hours a day, by call or text, at 988.

If you’re having thoughts of hurting yourself, please reach out to one of those now rather than waiting for an appointment. When you’re ready, we’ll be here for the longer work.

We believe strength includes knowing when your nervous system needs support.

Is Anxiety and Depression Support Right for You?

You may benefit from support if:

  • You feel “on” all the time and struggle to power down
  • Your sleep is disrupted by racing thoughts
  • You are successful but rarely at ease
  • Minor issues trigger disproportionate stress
  • Your spouse or children experience you as tense or distracted
  • You feel internally driven in ways that are hard to slow
  • You sense that your faith life feels more pressured than peaceful
  • You want sustainable leadership without emotional cost

Many adults normalize high stress because they have lived with it for years. Over time, however, constant activation reshapes how you think, relate, and rest.

With thoughtful support, your nervous system can return to steadiness. Decision-making becomes clearer. Reactions soften. Relationships feel less strained.

You do not have to keep living at full alert.

Anxiety and Depression Support Frequently Asked Questions

Is anxiety always obvious?
No. Many teens and adults appear composed and capable while experiencing significant internal tension. Anxiety is often invisible to others.
No. While practical tools are important, we also explore the underlying patterns, pressures, and identity factors that sustain chronic stress.
It really does vary, and we’d rather give you an honest sense of it after a few sessions than a number on the first day. Most people notice something easing within the first month or so.
Yes. Prolonged stress can influence sleep, digestion, immune function, and overall energy. Addressing anxiety supports both mental and physical well-being.
Sessions range from $125 to $195, depending on which of us you see. We’re not in network with insurance, so we don’t bill your carrier directly. We do accept HSA and FSA cards, and we’ll provide a superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
